Amiano & Son got its start in 1968, when Lou Amiano Sr. set out to give his family a brighter future by starting his own business. He got his start as a mason in North Jersey, later relocating south, where he spent the next several decades building the company one project at a time. In 2009, his son, Lou Amiano Jr., stepped into leadership of the family business, bringing with him years of hands-on experience and formal training in the industry. Under his direction, the company has grown into a nationally recognized design-build firm based right here in Southampton, New Jersey, blending old-school craftsmanship with modern technology and design innovation.
In recent years, the next generation has stepped up alongside him. Lou Jr’s daughter, Sophia Amiano, and his nephew, Joseph Clymer, now play key roles in the business, helping guide its growth while keeping pace with an evolving industry. Together, they’re committed to preserving the values the company was founded on, even as the business continues to modernize. More than fifty years later, Amiano & Son remains proudly family-run, built on a foundation of expertise, hard work, and a legacy that spans generations.

In the late 1990s, when Lou Amiano Jr. made the pivotal decision to guide the business into remodeling, his mother, JoAnn Amiano, contributed an irreplaceable element to the Amiano logo, one that continues to shine at the heart of our brand today.
She herself drew and designed the original sun that rises above the roofline in our logo, a symbol that has become a cornerstone of our identity.
